In which year can full-time medical students go for a clerkship in the US?
Yes, but you need to make an effort starting right now. Because the curriculum at TTU is entirely in English and the working environment in the US requires accurate communication, the university offers supplementary Medical English courses throughout the academic years to ensure full-time students have sufficient foreign language proficiency for this trip.
If my English is not good, do I have the opportunity to participate in this trip?
Yes. TTU encourages students to combine the trip to explore research topics. Many full-time students of the university have had the opportunity to report their research results at major medical conferences in the US (such as AHA, ACC) right during their clerkship or through the connections of their instructors from the US.
Aside from clinical clerkships, can full-time students participate in scientific research in the US?
The clerkship fee in the US is usually $3000 for 1 month, but Tan Tao University students participating in the practical program in the US DO NOT HAVE TO PAY these fees. Students participating in the program need to cover their living and travel expenses. Students and their families need to balance finances for the program including: Visa fees, Fees for hospital tests required in the US, Travel and living expenses, Airfare.
What is the cost of participating in the US clerkship program?
This is an extremely important practical "stepping stone". Gaining direct access to the operation of the US healthcare system helps you easily visualize and resolve clinical scenario questions in the USMLE Step 2 CS/CK exam.
